Only one person was keeping the Babylon’s Fall dream alive on Steam last week

Babylon’s Fall is not a popular game on any platform. However, it has been a disaster on PC. The game’s concurrent players count on Steam peaked at just 1,166 at launch.

However, last week, specifically on Wednesday, May 4, that peak concurrent was just one. At that time, only one person was playing in-game. This shocking new low was noticed by VGC.

Although you can see that Babylon’s Fall has “recovered”, it is back to its normal concurrent average of 60. Only one player for a game only a few weeks old, from a major publisher.

This isn’t surprising, however. PlatinumGames promised continued support for at minimum two more seasons shortly after the game was launched. The alarming title of the post was “Is the continued service in danger?”

Babylon’s Fall was especially poorly received by critics for being a PlatinumGames project. Players were also disappointed by the game’s online nature, battle progression system and live-service structure, which lacks a satisfying hook.

However, last week, particularly Wednesday, May 4, that peak concurrent was one. One person was online in-game at the time. This shocking new low was noted by VGC.

Although you can see that Babylon’s Fall has “recovered”, it is back to its normal concurrent average of 60. Only one participant is a rare sight for a game that is only a few weeks old from a serious developer and writer.
