You can access many rare and cool items by keeping the NPCs of Terraria Pylons happy. However, they can be fickle.

During your journey through Terraria’s Biomes, you will encounter many NPCs. Some of them may want to move to your city. To ensure optimal happiness, you will need to make sure these NPCs have a place to live.

For example, the Zoologist prefers to live in the Forest Biome. If they are happy enough, you can buy the Leatherwhip from them. You’ll also be able place Pylons within the Biomes that will allow for fast travel.

There are at most 25 NPCs that you can find. Each has their Biome, neighbors and unlocking requirements.

Each NPC can offer something different, such as recipes, supplies or even the ability to heal you or remove your buffs.

A Pylon allows you to teleport anywhere in the world if you have at least two happy, content NPCs within a Biome.

  • Guide and Zoologist
  • Armes dealer and nurse
  • Mechanic, Goblin Tinkerer
  • Stylist and Angler

Terraria Pylons FAQ

Why can’t pylons Terraria be bought?

I can’t buy pylons from Terraria. Two main reasons why you might not be allowed to buy a pylon are: First, you have already purchased a pylon from that type. You can only purchase one pylon per biome. To get another, you will need to visit NPCs in another biome or transfer them there.

Are there 2 Terraria pylons you can have?

Moderator. Two Pylons of the same type cannot be placed at the same time. You can only have one type of Pylon in the universe.

Which NPC sells pylons?

You can gain early access to all prehardmode pylons by defeating the first boss NPCs: The Arms Dealer with the Nurse sells all of the pylons, except Snow; and The Golfer withThe Angler sells all of them except Cavern.
